David R. Coates

David Coates is a Director of National Life Group and was elected to the Board in 1993. He is a retired managing partner of KPMG's Burlington, Vermont, office. He also held several key leadership positions at the New England Culinary Institute. He is a Director of Green Mountain Power Corp., A.N. Deringer, Inc., and VELCO. He was named the Vermont Chamber's Citizen of the Year in 2003. He is a member of the Vermont Debt Affordability Advisory Committee, the Vermont Municipal Bond Bank and the American Institute of CPAs.
