New Controller Appointed at National Life
Montpelier, VT - (January 25, 2019) National Life Group has appointed a new corporate controller who will oversee many of the company’s key financial management areas.
David Soccodato will be Vice President and Controller, expanding from his current duties as the corporate tax director.
With his expanded role, Soccodato will be responsible for corporate accounting, payroll, financial reporting and investment accounting.
“David brings a unique combination of intellectual curiosity, compassion, problem-solving and positive energy to his leadership of the Controller’s team in this exciting time of continued growth, accounting changes and finance transformation,” said Sarah VanBeck, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Soccodato has been at National Life for 10 years. Prior to joining the company, he was senior tax manager with Liberty Mutual, and a tax manager with PwC.
Keith Phelan was promoted to Tax Director and will report to Soccodato.
