National Life Group and the Dallas Stars Foundation along with Vogel Alcove bring holiday cheer to homeless children

Addison, TX - (December 12, 2023) Volunteers from National Life Group and the Dallas Stars Foundation brought holiday cheer to about 200 homeless children, their families and the staff of Vogel Alcove, an early childhood development and parent opportunity center for homeless families, today.

For the past two years, National Life and Vogel Alcove have held this event. This year, as a sponsor of the Dallas Stars, National Life joined forces with the Dallas Stars Foundation to present this beloved holiday event.

“The holidays are made for celebrating and making memories, and we were honored to partner with National Life Group for this holiday event,” Dallas Stars Foundation President Marty Turco said. “It was a truly special night. The Dallas Stars Foundation is committed to nurturing and enriching the lives of those in need, and to have a partner who has the same dedication to the community really means a lot to us.”

Joined by Dallas Stars mascot, Victor E. Green, Vogel Alcove children, families and staff descended on Dallas’ Old City Park for a holiday meal, pictures with Santa Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides, crafts, balloon animals, gifts and all-around holiday joy.

“This holiday season, as we come together for a festive celebration, our hearts are filled with joy and appreciation. Thanks to the wonderful collaboration with National Life Group and the Dallas Stars Foundation,” Vogel CEO Karen Hughes said. “At Vogel, every laugh and every bright smile from our children and families is a reminder of the incredible impact we can make when we work together.
