Nemesh Mehta, National Life Group

Addison, TX - (November 29, 2023) National Life Group Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Nimesh Mehta has been named to the Parkland Health Foundation Board of Directors.

Mehta was appointed senior VP and CIO of National Life Group in 2018. He focuses on all aspects of technology operations to effectively align business and technology strategy with a customer centric focus.

Parkland Health Foundation is dedicated to securing substantial financial resources that advance the goals of Parkland Health. Parkland Health’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Program has been the recipient of the National Life Group Do Good Fest benefit concert since it came to the Dallas area in 2022, bringing in $70,000 last year. The Parkland program, which is dedicated to reducing stigma and increasing access to mental health support, also receives support from the National Life Group Foundation. Last year, more than 2,000 children and adolescents received behavioral health care through the program.

“It is a privilege to serve Parkland in support of their outstanding work to expand access to care in the Dallas community,” Mehta said. “Parkland’s mission to heal aligns beautifully with National Life’s work in supporting the ever-growing needs of youth mental health and I look forward to contributing to this great cause.”

Every child seen at Parkland receives a behavioral health screening as part of their routine pediatric primary care, allowing healthcare providers to address minor problems immediately and refer to more specialized behavioral health services if needed. Parkland Behavioral Health services are now available at all 10 Parkland Pediatric Clinics across the county, in primarily underserved neighborhoods. Parkland also implemented a trauma-informed care approach that fully integrates physical and mental health care for children.

“Nimesh is a proven enterprise leader whose deep understanding of how to develop and scale customer-centric systems aligns with Parkland Health Foundation’s commitment to harness the power of high-impact philanthropy to expand a patient-centered model of community-healthcare across Dallas County,” said Michael Horne, EdD, MPP, president and CEO, Parkland Health Foundation. “Equally impressive is Nimesh’s unwavering commitment to upholding the dignity of our community’s most vulnerable residents—a core element of Parkland Health’s mission to ‘advance wellness, relieve suffering, develop and educate.’”
