National Life Group Strengthens Solutions for Middle America

Montpelier, VT (October 26, 2016) - National Life Group member companies, National Life Insurance Company (National Life) and Life Insurance Company of the Southwest (LSW), introduce a new indexed universal life product to provide greater solutions for the families and small businesses of Middle America.

Life insurance products offered by National Life Group insurance companies provide death benefit protection, valuable living benefits and now, a charitable matching gift death benefit rider through their new product offering FlexLife II Indexed Universal life insurance, form series ICC16/20413(0616) (National Life) and ICC16/20417(0616) (LSW).

"With this new charitable match feature, it’s another way we can be socially responsible and live our company values to do good, be good and make good." commented David Longfritz, Senior Vice President of Marketing at National Life Group.

Currently there are nearly 100 million adult Americans who do not have life insurance, according to the nonprofit organization Life Happens. Elizabeth MacGowan, Vice President and Chief Product Officer at National Life Group shares, "With FlexLife II, we are able to further strengthen our product offering to meet the needs of families and businesses across Middle America." FlexLife II has features that add convenience for the customer, such as streamlined underwriting, to help simplify the process of getting consumers the life insurance protection they need, as well as a fixed loan rate option. Should they choose to take a loan against their policy, customers will know the loan rate in advance, eliminating the risk of unknown loan costs down the road.*

In addition a benefit distribution option is available to allow the policy owner to choose to have the death benefit paid out over a period of time from 10 to 30 years, providing policy owners the ability to help beneficiaries plan to replace income streams that might be lost at their death.

At National Life, our story is simple: For more than 167 years we've worked hard to deliver on our promises to millions of people with our vision of providing peace of mind in times of need. It's our cause, stemming from a deep passion to live our values to do good, be good and make good, every day.
