National Life’s Susan Jennings Receives National Award

Montpelier, VT - (December 20, 2018) National Life’s assistant general counsel, Susan Jennings, has been presented a prestigious industry award honoring her lifetime of achievement in helping teachers and other public employees plan for their retirements.

Jennings was announced as the recipient of the 2019 Bob D. Schiller Award by the National Tax-Deferred Savings Association. The award recognizes individuals who have given freely of themselves, their time and resources to the NTSA and to the 403(b)/457 industry, which provides retirement products to teachers and other government employees.

Jennings is a 30-year employee of National Life Group, where she serves as vice president and director of government relations.

“Susan has been a long-standing contributor to the NTSA Government Affairs Committee and a committed champion for public policy that promotes and protects workplace savings solutions,” said NTSA Executive Director Brent Neese.

Jennings serves on many industry boards, including the American Bar Association, National Tax-Deferred Savings Association, Texas Association of Life and Health Insurers, the Indexed Annuity Leadership Council, and the American Council of Life Insurers.

She is also active in Dallas-area community and civic organizations.
